That’s it for now! I’ll be blogging and facebooking and Tweeting along the way.

Speaking of Twitter…wanna hear about my Twitter promotion? Basically I asked some author friends to tell me what they would tell their high school selves if, say, they have magical cell phones. I started posting their quotes on twitter…and #gimmeacall went viral.

To follow the promotion or to write what you would tell your high school self join in here: #gimmeacall

To read articles I wrote about the promotion go to Publishers Weekly or Huffington Post.

That’s it. Book comes out tomorrow! I hope you like it. And I hope you come say hello if you’re in one of the above cities.

    Hugs and wishes,

    Sarah

    New Facebook Fan Page!

    Saturday, March 20th, 2010

    Hi there,

39 days until Gimme a Call comes out!

    I am soooo excited.

Supposedly there is an ad in this month’s Teen Vogue for the book! Has anyone seen it? If not check it out!

I’ll be doing a bit of touring for the book and will let you know where I’m going as soon as the events are final. But there will definately be events in NYC, Connecticut and…Memphis! Yup, Memphis. I have never been to Memphis so I’m super excited. Justine Magazine will be hosting all kinds of fun launch events including…a fashion show. I might need a dancing spell. No, don’t worry, I won’t be ON the catwalk. More details about the event as soon as I have them!

If you’re on Facebook, please check out the new Gimme a Call fan page, become a fan and help spread the word!

    Hugs & wishes,

    Sarah

    I’m Back!

    Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

Wow. Sorry for not blogging in, um, almost a year. I have two excuses. Decent ones, I swear!

    First: the baby thing.

Second: I moved. Again. For anyone who’s counting, that’s two moves in one year. If you need boxes, I am your girl.

When I wasn’t packing, unpacking or changing diapers, I was editing and writing. (And watching Jersey Shore. But don’t tell anyone that, ‘kay?.)

What was I editing: GIMME A CALL. It comes out  April 27th.

    What it’s about:

Devi is having a bad day: Her boyfriend broke up with her and she dropped her cell phone into the fountain at the mall.

Now it only calls one number.
    Her number.
At age 14, three years ago.

Once Devi gets over the shock, she realizes that she’s been given an awesome gift. She can convince her younger self to fix all her mistakes! Or can she?

The book is told from two perspectives: Freshman Devi and Senior Devi, so you get to see both points of view. And it was SO MUCH FUN to write. I got to think about all the things I would do differently…and all the things I would want to know about the future, if I could. What would you want to know? What would you tell?

These days I’m writing a totally different kind of book. It’s called TEN THINGS WE DID (and probably shouldn’t have) and it’s about two teens who move into together when both their parents move away. Chaos ensues. The content is a lot older than my other teen stuff. Much racier. It’s kind of a cross between my YA and my chick lit. The first draft will hopefully, pretty please, be done next week. Fingers crossed. (For luck or for lying, you wonder? Good question.)

In this weeks news: PARTIES & POTIONS is now out in paperback!

Check out the series branding on top: a magic in manhattan novel. Cute, huh?

Eventually the earlier books will be reprinted with matching tops so that will be cool.

Also, the first two chaps of GIMME A CALL are in the back of the book so you can read it and get a sneak peek.

Oh! And I am going to have a live chat this Wednesday the 17th at 8 EST. In the events section of my site. Come by!

    But…

Please do not pretend to be me in the chat. It’s seriously creepy.

Okay then. That’s it for today. Since I am not moving in the near future (I hope) I will try to write more often.

    Hugs & wishes,

    Sarah

Be Bad. Be very very bad.
